Based on the success of the first Wētā event at Airlee Beach Race Week in 2021, The Weta Class has been invited to take part in the prestigious Airlie Beach Race week again.
The NOR is available here
There have been arrangements made for Wētās to use the Boat Haven Beach adjacent to the Sailing Club for launching and storage of boats during the week.
Longest race approximately 20 miles.
Emphasis on inshore bay courses and some island passage races
Races will be scored on Scratch basis (no handicaps)
It would be great to get an even greater turn out to showcase the boats.
We will have our own in-shore courses so lots of racing and fun times afterwards.
Suggest booking accommodation ASAP as it will book out fast.
Contact Todd McVey if you're planning to go and would like assistance to transport your Weta up there.
