Custom Shirt Designer InstructionsWear your Wētā with pride - customise the boat to your design
For a printable version of these instructions click here Make a shirt with your boat in your colours on the front or back. Change the sail number then change hull, ama, self tacker, gennaker colours and add a boat name, crew name, sailing club or a background image. You're not restricted to applying your design to a shirt (Sizes SM -5XL, Unisex, men, women, kids designs), it can be applied to over 1000 products. Click on the Edit Design button to go into the Designer and customise your design - see section 2. When you have completed your changes, select the size, change the product, change the quantity then press Add to Cart. TIP: You can go back into the designer and make further changes (e.g. adding a crew name) and then add their different design and different product or size to the Cart. Click on the Cart in the top Right Menu to add your address information and payment details. 2.1 The Image Designer
2a. Object selection menu (Left Margin)
Choose the object you want to add/change Text - Add text to the image (e.g. a boat name) - select the font and size. Elements - Configurable shapes like squares, rectangles and circles Icons - Black and white clipart images My Files - Images you have uploaded which can be applied to the product design (e.g. a background image) Products - Choose the product type (over 1000 available), colour, size etc with styles for men, women and children. Layers - Every object in the design is given it's own layer. The order of layers defines the order elements are displayed (e.g. the ama layer is above the hull layer). Creator - About the creator (Paul White) - click to send me a message and, if you're having problems, you can invite me to collaborate on your design by clicking on the "Invite Friends" button. 2.2 Image Designer (Centre)
This is a live display of the image that will appear on your chosen product (shirt). Some items (like the mainsail, jib and mast) have been fixed in position and can't be changed. Most others, such as the Sail Number, Ama, Main Hull, Self Tacker track, Deck and Gennaker can have their Stroke (The lines that define the element border) and Fill (The area inside the border) changed. Click on the object once to make changes - and the right margin will show what can be changed (e.g. colours) . If you make a mistake, click the Undo arrow in the top margin or press CTRL+Z on the keyboard. You can also add your own text (click on the Text in the left Menu) - such as your boat name - drag it into position and select the font and size from the right margin. You can upload and add your own images (e.g. a background photo or design) by clicking on My Files and Tip: Try to not to drag objects out of position like the ama, hull and gennaker - it's fiddly to get them back in the right place. Tip#2: Keep objects you want printed within the white and grey tiled background area. Click the Guidelines button to show the print area borders. |
2.3 Object Options (Right Margin)
When you click on an object the right margin displays the changes you can make to that object. This is a text object so you can change the text, font, colour, size, justification and scale. You can also make position changes just by dragging and dropping the object or moving the handles (small white boxes) in the corners of the object. Below the options you'll see a preview of how your design will look on your product. Click on the circles below the preview to change the image Click on the magnifying glass to display a larger preview. If you want others to help with your design or want my help, then click on Invite friends and enter their email address (Paul, ausweta@gmail.com).
