NSW State Titles 2019/20 - Speers Point ASC, Lake Macquarie, NSW

EARLY DISCOUNT REGISTRATION EXTENDED UNTIL 20th DECEMBER - 12 entries already. DON'T MISS THE BOAT!
Speers Point ASC will host the first NSW State Titles on Lake Macquarie over the 2019-20 New Year period from 28-31 December 2019.
Winds permitting, we'll start with a fun (no points score) Passage Race on 28th December to have lunch at Wangi Wangi RSL and then sail back.
​There'll be a mixture of windward-leeward and triangle courses on other days.

There will be a opportunity to view the local New Year fireworks display after the prize giving on 31st December.
We'd welcome visitors from interstate and even overseas - even our Kiwi friends or Snowbirds from the Northern Hemisphere who want to thaw out.

Nearby accommodation includes Pippis at the Point hotel and restaurant or there are B&Bs, AirBNB, and hotels nearby. Limited Camping spots available by the club.

DRAFT CLASS RULES AND NOR
We will be using the draft 2019 Australian Weta Class Rules available here (to be ratified at an AWCA meeting at the event)

EVENT TIMETABLE (subject to weather conditions)
Saturday 28th December
Registration - 9.30am to 11.00am
Briefing - 11.15am in SPASC Clubhouse
Long Passage Race 1 - Signal 11.55am A fun race to Wangi Wangi for lunch and back (no points score).
Sunday 29 December - Races 2 & 3
Monday 30 December - Races 4 & 5, Evening Social Event
Tuesday 31 December - Races 6 & 7
PRIZES
As well as the usual prizes for the first 3 places, there will also be a prize for the first two handed boat. In addition, they'll also be prizes for the most improved boat during the regatta, best stuff up and fastest speed.
EVENT T-SHIRT
Available at the event in L or XL only $39 each.
​BOAT STORAGE
You can leave your boat mast up in the grounds of the club while the event is on.
Pool Noodles will be provided for the distance race to Wangi RSL to rest your boats on between races.
CAMPING
There are a limited number of camping spaces in the grounds of SPASC. Contact them on 0417 672 023 to book in advance.
CATERING
Lunches, morning & afternoon teas will be available each day from SPASC Canteen upstairs in the clubhouse and 'Sausage Sizzles' will be held at the end of each race day adjacent to the clubhouse. The club is not licenced but there are refrigerators for BYOG.
REGISTRATION (LATE FEE APPLIES FROM 11th DECEMBER UNTIL FINAL DEADLINE OF 28 DECEMBER)
